Heather and Justin?
Definitely Heather and Justin. Since 1995. That’s FOREVER!
About us.
We like us. Here’s all about us. Us is awesome. Us is great. Us is getting hitched.
Wedding Info
1. We are getting married. To each other. Because we lo-ove each other. Gross, we know, but there it is.
2. The wedding is Saturday, January 19th, 2019 at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
3. The ceremony and reception will both be held at Squantum Association in Riverside, Rhode Island.
4. “Riverside” does NOT sound like “Providence,” but we assure you that lil’ Rhody is tiny and Riverside is a ten minute drive outside of Providence. That is like nothing to most of you… but, for our Rhode Island guests, we will help you find a hotel nearby to keep your travel to <15 minutes. (For out of state guests: Rhode Island residents have this weird thing where anything more than a 5-10 minute drive is too far to travel without packing snacks, overnight bags, and emergency roadside kits. You think we are kidding, but you will see for yourselves in January.)
5. The wedding is small-ish and about a 50/50 mixture of out of state and in state guests.
6. JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU FIND OUT WHAT WE ARE HAVING FOR DINNER!!! (Spoiler Alert: It is turkey that has been responsibly sourced and humanely raised in the New England region!)
7. Heather is horrible at keeping secrets, so she may tell you everything about the wedding well before you get here.
8. Justin wants you to know it is an open bar. Heather wants you to know that you should not drink and drive. Plan accordingly, folks!
9. What should you wear? Clothes that cover your bits. Squantum has a “no jeans” policy for their members, so we are encouraging guests to abide by this policy. So, you know, make yourselves look spiffy, but no need to go overboard. (Get it? Overboard! It is a nautical pun because we are in Rhode Island!)
10. We are very much hoping all of you can make it to the wedding because we love all of you and want you to be there to see us get all smooshy (pronounced SMEW-she) and gross.
11. Apparently there is this thing that is expected when people get married. They call it a “registry.” Now, here’s the deal – we do not expect or anticipate gifts from anyone. The best gift you can give us is your presence on January 19th! That being said, we realize that some of you are quite stubborn and are insistent that you get us a gift you can wrap. For those of you in this category, we have started a registry at Macy’s: https://www.macys.com/wgl/registry/guest/6998227. Heads up – the Macy’s site seems temperamental. You may need to try it in another web browser (Edge, Chrome, etc.) or just search for us by our name on the regular site.
12. Let us say it again – the best gift you can give us is being there on our wedding day and celebrating with us. Each of you has been invited because you helped to make us the people we are today, which are two people very much smitten with one another. That is pretty amazing. Not everyone is lucky enough to have people like you in their lives!
What else?
Did we mention that we are looking forward to sharing our wedding with all of you? Well, in case you did not know it, we are really happy to have you join us as we celebrate our wedding!
Pictures, in case you do not remember us.
We’re getting hitched in lil’ Rhody!
Check this sweet map out. It’s just about EXACTLY where we’re going to be getting married. That means it’s also just about EXACTLY where you should make sure to get yourself to in order to help us celebrate in person. We would definitely like that.
How to get here, where to stay, what to see (other than us)

Trains
- MBTA Commuter Rail – goes from Boston to downtown Providence for $11.50 each way
- MBTA has a train that goes from TF Green Airport to downtown Providence for $3.25 each way (about a 10 minute train ride)
- Amtrak – train from Boston to Providence; also can go from NYC to Providence
Automobiles
- Rent a car at the airport: http://www.pvdairport.com/get-here/rental-cars
- Uber
- Lyft
- Taxi
- Make new friends and then bum a ride off of them
- It looks like there may be some sort of shuttle from the airport to downtown hotels, but we have yet to find any concrete evidence this exists. (To recap, in order of importance, we are unclear if the following exist: Santa Claus, the Great Pumpkin, Hotel Shuttle from TF Green to downtown hotels.)
Sleepytime
We are excited to announce that we have reserved a block of rooms at the Omni Providence Hotel on Exchange Street, downtown Providence. The block and locked-in rate is available through December 14th. After this date, rooms and rates are not guaranteed. The hotel is within walking distance from the Providence train station or a 10 minute uber from the airport. The hotel is about a 15 minute drive to the Squantum Association. You can use this link to reserve your room:

Places to Visit
The City of Providence has lots of recommendations: https://www.goprovidence.com/
Good Eats
Providence might be small, but it has amazing food. Bring your stretch pants folks, because this trip is about food! Most places offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.
**UPDATE: We just learned that it will be Winter Restaurant Week in Providence while all of you are in town for the wedding. See more info here and here.**
- Duck and Bunny – crepes and cupcakes and beer – oh my! Kind of on the east side of Providence. On-street parking. http://www.theduckandbunny.com/
- Noodles 102 – ramen, pho, deliciousness; east side of Providence. On-street parking. https://www.noodles102.com/
- Fellinis Pizza – the best, most delicious pizza Heather has ever had. They deliver or you can visit them in Providence or Pawtuxet Village (near our house). http://www.fellinipizzeria.com/
- Luxe Burger – can’t make up your mind if you want a burger or a grilled cheese sandwich? Have both! Luxe Burger replaces your hamburger bun with grilled cheese sandwiches. Best bet is to walk here or pay to park in the parking lot directly adjacent to the restaurant. Have GF, vegan, and veggie options. http://www.luxeburgerbar.com/
- Capital Grille – fancy, top-notch service, one of Justin’s favorite places, great seafood; make reservations! https://www.thecapitalgrille.com/locations/ri/providence/providence/8059
- Los Andes – Peruvian and Bolivian restaurant; ALWAYS BUSY; does not take reservations, so either plan on waiting or try to go earlier in the evening: https://losandesri.com/
- Thai Orchid in Cranston – some of the best Thai food around. The owner calls everyone “Honey” and is just a bundle of goodness. Here is the only way to see their menu: https://www.zomato.com/providence/thai-orchid-cranston/menu
- Allie’s Donuts: https://www.facebook.com/AlliesDonuts/ – staple in the RI doughnut world. Line will be well out the door on a Saturday morning, so either go really early or wear layers so you stay warm while you wait. Known for their frosted with sprinkles but we recommend trying their jelly filled sugar kruller and their granulated sugar jelly-filled donut. Really, you cannot go wrong, but their raised doughnuts are top notch!
- LaSalle Bakery – just go. You will thank us for it. http://lasallebakery.net/
- The Coffee Exchange: https://www.thecoffeeexchange.com/
- Really, this list is already too long… so let us know if you are looking for anything in particular! There are so many places within walking distance of downtown, too, so explore and experiment!
